Job Description: 

This position reports to System Integration Manager and, is responsible for designing, building, and implementing innovative Microsoft and related solutions for our customers. Working alongside other Systems Engineers, this role will deliver solutions that drive efficiency and solve problems.

Support
 

  • Microsoft Windows Server

  • Administer large scale Antivirus solutions
  • Netbackup and Avamar

Influence
 

  • Provide technical guidance or influence the work of others, as needed.
     

Drive

  • Setup and configure ESXi host clusters, including vCenter server, as well as an understanding of DRS, HA, and FT
  • Utilize knowledge of Hyper-V
  • Utilize knowledge of NAT, routing, network segmentation, interface bonding, and common network protocols
  • Implement an HA environment, and utilize understanding of related concepts: VIP's, pool's, and health checks
  • Implement understanding of NAS and SAN technologies. Block vs file, storage roles at the host, hypervisor, OS, and application layers. Configure storage at all levelsUtilize experience with NTDS, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and ADFS
  • Utilize experience with PowerShell scripting



 Manage
 

  • Troubleshoot issues from the application layer down through to storage, networking, and compute abstractions
  • Monitor large scale systems and applications
  • Automate all aspects of system and application administration using various tools
     

Maintain

  • Utilize knowledge with the different Windows subsystems and Windows kernel
  • Maintain and expand multi-domain controller configuration, and the ability to update domain schemas
  • Automation and management with SCCM
  • Utilize knowledge of backup technologies and ability to maintain existing backup jobs and infrastructure
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Equivalent Education Level Required: High school diploma or equivalent, required. Associates degree, preferred. IT Certifications, preferred.
 
Experience Required: 1-3 years’ experience with Windows Server Administration, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, experience with VMware, IIS, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, maintenance and expansion of multi-domain control configuration, experience with NTDS, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and ADFS. Experience with Netbackup and Avamar, SAN, NAT (routing, network segmentation, interface bonding, and common network protocols), administering antivirus software, Hyper-V, SCCM, automation or server creation, preferred.
 
Knowledge Required: Excellent written and verbal communications skills as would be needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Ability to document work into a procedure log.
